At least one experienced business user and an available decision-maker are needed. Users explain the actual process and its exceptions. The decision-maker resolves conflicting goals, sets priorities and accepts binding rules. IT, data protection, operations or other departments join when interfaces, sensitive data or infrastructure are affected.
A software project cannot outsource this responsibility to the service provider. schukai can explain options and consequences, but cannot decide on its own when an order is commercially accepted or who may approve a document. At the same time, too many people should not block every detailed decision. Roles, decision paths and response times are therefore set at the start. Good collaboration does not mean the customer takes on technical tasks every day, but that business decisions are made in good time and real tests are made possible.
