Labelling AI content

Your customers should be able to rely on your product content, even when AI has helped with writing or editing. The EU AI Act governs when such content requires a notice. In Workspace, you confirm the origin for each text field and each image, and your online shop uses this to show the appropriate notices. That way, you use AI and remain transparent.

What Workspace records for you

Origin per field and image

For every text and every image, you choose: created by humans, AI-assisted, AI-generated or edited with AI. An AI-generated alt text does not turn a real product photo into an AI image.

Confirmation with an expiry

A confirmation applies to exactly the current version of the text or image. If someone changes the content, Workspace shows the information as outdated and asks again before the next approval.

Notices in the shop

Workspace delivers the required notices for texts and images to your online shop, matched to the target market and content purpose. Your shop shows them from the very first display.

Your own standard

You define centrally whether you label only what is legally required or additionally all AI-generated or all AI-assisted content.

From draft to notice

Step 01

You assign a transparency class to each content purpose and save your labelling standard.

Step 02

New texts are created as drafts; you revise approved texts in a working revision. The previous version stays online in the meantime.

Step 03

In the AI transparency area, you confirm the origin of every changed field and image, with human review and editorial responsibility if required.

Step 04

On approval, text and origin go live together, and your shop shows the appropriate notices.

What you can rely on

No silent approval

If a current origin statement is missing, Workspace does not allow the approval and names the next step.

Suggestions to confirm

If your team takes over texts or alt texts from the PIM assistant, they appear pre-filled. They only go live after your confirmation.

No notice gets lost

If a channel cannot display a required notice, Workspace does not deliver the content there without the notice.

Existing content stays untouched

Unchanged older texts do not need retrospective confirmation. Workspace only asks about a field’s origin once you change it.

Content Credentials visible

If an image already carries Content Credentials, Workspace shows their status on the original.

Separate permissions

Editing, confirming origin and approving are separate permissions. You assign them to one or more people.

Clearly defined scope

The first legal profile maps Article 50 of the EU AI Regulation (AI Act) for EU target markets. Product texts and images from the PIM are labelled; audio and video are not yet included.

Workspace documents the origin and delivers the notices. It is not legal advice and not a certification. Workspace does not sign any content. Please clarify doubtful cases with your legal or compliance department.

Frequently asked questions

Which content can be labelled?

Product texts on variants and catalogue products as well as product images. Audio and video are not yet included.

Which markets does the legal profile apply to?

The first profile maps Article 50 of the EU AI Regulation for EU target markets. With a stricter standard, you can also label content for which the profile does not require a notice.

Does this make our labelling legally watertight?

Workspace records the origin for each content version and reliably delivers the notices. Whether that is sufficient for your use case and target market is assessed by your legal or compliance officers.

What does it cost?

We give you the price in an offer, because it depends on the scope of your project.
