Sell your app without building licence management

You want to offer your app in two tiers and set a higher limit for the larger one. To do that, you need subscription management, verification of store purchases, access codes for business customers and a permissions system before you can even start on the actual business logic.

Included in: Workspace

Workspace takes care of this part. You define which features and usage limits an installed app may use; the app queries the result.

Plans, proof of entitlement and sign-in

Plans instead of special cases in the code

In a plan, you describe which features are unlocked, which numeric values apply as limits and how many seats a company subscription includes. From this, every app installation receives a traceable entitlement.

A published plan stays unchanged. Changes are created as a new version, which you first check in the preview and then apply. This means terms never change unnoticed for existing customers.

Several sources, one result

Proof of a valid entitlement can come from a subscription in your shop, a purchase on Google Play or an access code you have issued. Workspace combines these sources and provides the app with a single result.

Prices and payments stay in your shop or with Google Play. Workspace does not keep a second record of them.

No second user directory

Workspace can be the sign-in source for your app, even if the application was not built by us. If you already run single sign-on, we check how to connect it.
