One packaging, many markets
You describe a carton, film and filling material once as packaging with components and material shares. You use the same packaging for products, load carriers and shipping without creating it as an item.
Features · Security & compliance
In Workspace, you maintain each packaging once: components, materials, masses and evidence. You assign market rules, such as the included profile for the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), per legal entity and market. When packing, Workspace records the basis on which a parcel left your premises.

You create the packaging with components, materials and facts and store documents such as technical documentation and the declaration of conformity.
You approve the revision, facts and documents through the associated compliance checks.
You assign the eu.ppwr profile to a legal entity and a market, first in Observe mode, and after approval in Block mode.
The packing station records the packages, Workspace saves the shipping decision and books the quantities for your report.
Approved revisions and facts remain unchanged. For a change, you create a new revision; earlier shipping decisions keep the version that applied at the time.
You assess who counts as producer or manufacturer for a packaging per market, sales channel and recipient. When packing, Workspace uses only the assessment that exactly matches the case.
With an overlay, you extend or tighten the included profile for your company. It cannot be relaxed.
For a permissible shipping decision, Workspace extends the retention of linked evidence to at least five years, and to ten years for reusable packaging.
You correct quantity errors with a reversing entry. A frozen report does not change as a result of later bookings.
You only link an environmental claim to a product if it has been checked and is based on valid facts.
Workspace supplies eu.ppwr for the 27 EU member states as its first rule profile. Further markets require their own profiles. For Germany, Workspace creates a checked draft report from a frozen period; your team submits it in the responsible portal itself and then confirms the submission in Workspace.
Workspace documents data, checks and decisions. It does not transmit anything to national registers, does not calculate fees and does not manage authorised representatives. The legal assessment remains with your responsible staff and advisers.

Workspace records your packaging data, checks and shipping decisions traceably. Whether a packaging meets the requirements is assessed by your responsible staff and advisers, with all records to hand.
No. For Germany, Workspace creates a checked draft report for export. You submit it in the portal yourself and then record the report number and proof in Workspace.
