Manufacturing and refurbishment

Workspace guides your manufacturing from the plan to the stock booking. A production plan describes materials, output and operations. At the workstation, your team sees which work is due and which instructions apply. You refurbish used devices without them losing their serial number.

What your manufacturing gains

Plans with a fixed revision

An approved production plan stays as it is. If materials or operations change, you create a new revision. Orders in progress keep their version.

Instructions at the station

For each work centre, the workstation shows the open operations with instructions, target times, photos and files. An operation can only be completed once all mandatory checklist items are done.

The device keeps its number

During refurbishment, the serial number is retained, even if the device continues afterwards as a different variant. You do not need an artificial product variant for the new condition.

Booking with a preview

Before the stock booking, a preview shows which device is consumed and what is booked in. Nothing is booked until you confirm.

From the plan to the storage location

Step 01

You create a production plan with material lines, outputs and operations per work centre, and approve it.

Step 02

A production order takes over the operations of the approved plan. For a refurbishment, you reserve the specific device by its serial number.

Step 03

At the workstation, your team works through the operations in sequence and ticks off the checklist.

Step 04

The booking preview shows consumption and receipt. Once you confirm, the output is in the target storage location, ready for picking and shipping.

The right route for every item

From stock

Finished goods are reserved for the order, picked and shipped.

With back order

Range items remain orderable. A missing quantity stays in view as a back order.

Directly from the partner

If a partner delivers directly to your customer, the order stays in Workspace commercially, and your warehouse has no work with it.

Made to order

If a semi-finished product is completed, a set is assembled or a product is only manufactured for the order, the order shows an open manufacturing requirement.

Procured to order

Items that you only purchase after the order remain orderable even without stock, in the online shop too. The requirement appears as open in purchasing.

Fixed in the order

Every order line item takes over its delivery route. Later changes to the product do not change orders in progress.

Clear roles in the process

You use roles to define separately who approves plans, who works at the station and who books stock. Your staff deliberately start the production or purchase order for a customer order. If an approved plan matches the ordered variant, Workspace takes over its operations.

A refurbishment order applies to exactly one device. Workspace takes the serial number from your stock, and it stays permanently linked to that device.

Frequently asked questions

Which businesses is this suitable for?

For retailers and manufacturers who assemble, finish or manufacture to order. And for anyone who inspects, cleans, repairs or converts used devices.

How many devices does a refurbishment order cover?

Exactly one. That way, every device remains individually traceable by its serial number. For several devices, you create one order per device.

Where do the serial numbers come from?

From your stock. Workspace takes over the serial number of the incoming device, and it is retained after refurbishment.

Can I change an approved plan?

You create a new revision. Existing orders keep their version, new orders work with the new revision.

What does it cost?

We give you the price in an offer, because it depends on the scope of your project.
