How do the original photo, markings and later additions stay traceable?

Answer

The original photo should remain unchanged. Markings, crops or comments are stored as a separate edit or annotation, so that it is clear later what the camera recorded and what a user highlighted. Damage notes added later also receive their own timestamp and reference, instead of silently overwriting the original record.

This technical separation improves traceability, but does not on its own guarantee legal evidential value. For that, identity, timing, device handling, the complete process and the contractual context can be important. Proofara provides structured evidence and reports; the organisation must decide which check, signature or retention its specific process requires. Claims such as “court-proof” should be avoided without a case-by-case review.
