Answer
Business relationships often consist of more than one company and one contact person. Workspace can distinguish organisations, branches, delivery and service locations as well as people with different roles. An order can thus, for example, be assigned to the purchasing company, the delivery address and a technical contact person.
The model should contain only the complexity that is actually needed. Too many theoretical relationship types make maintenance and search harder. At the same time, a location must not be repeated as free text if service, shipping and permissions depend on it. Before implementation, real customer constellations are examined – including groups of companies, differing billing addresses and changing contact persons. The result is an understandable model with clear responsibilities for changes.
