Answer
A handover is possible if rights, source code access, documentation, the build and deployment route and operational boundaries are provided for in the contract. For custom-developed components, another team can take over after familiarisation. For licensed schukai products, on the other hand, the agreed rights of use and operation apply; a complete transfer of the product core cannot automatically be derived from them.
Partners should therefore distinguish from the start which parts are project-specific, which are standardised and which are tied to third-party services. A good handover includes not only files but also versions, open risks, test cases, accounts and a defined handover period. It does not remove the need for familiarisation, but it prevents the customer from being effectively locked in because the basics are missing.
