Answer
Taking on long-term development responsibility usually requires the complete source code actually in use – including build files, configurations, database migrations and relevant in-house libraries. A ZIP archive with a few files is not enough if production components, private packages or deployment scripts are missing. The current version must also clearly match the running release.
For a pure operational analysis or an interface integration, there may be cases where the complete source code is not needed. The responsibility then remains correspondingly limited. If the source code is permanently missing, often only external stabilisation, data backup, isolation or a new development is possible. Rights and licences should also be checked before any takeover. Technical access alone does not mean that schukai is allowed to change or pass on the code.
