1. Scope and summary
This Privacy Policy applies to the Android app raus, package ID com.schukai.raus. raus is a local work assistant for notes, voice memos, scans and reviewable suggestions for tasks, appointments, follow-ups and email drafts.
The current app requires no user account, sends no work content to a schukai server and provides no cloud synchronization.
Effective: 17 July 2026

Further provider details are available in the German-language legal notice.
3. Data processed locally
Depending on how you use it, raus stores typed notes, recognized text, voice-memo files, structured suggestions, tasks, appointments, follow-ups, email drafts, local contacts, tags, workflow states, reminders, feedback, and language, display and privacy settings.
Structured data are held in a local SQLite database; audio attachments and small settings are held in private app storage. Android system backups for the app are disabled.
4. Microphone, speech, scanning and local AI
raus uses the microphone for voice memos only after you grant permission. Recordings are stored as local app files. With your consent, local reminders use Android notifications and are scheduled again after a device restart.
Dictation and optional transcription of saved audio use the speech-recognition service configured on the Android device. Whether speech is processed solely on the device or additionally by the recognition provider depends on the device, Android version and selected service. Speech data are not routed through a schukai server.
Document scanning and text recognition use Google ML Kit components. Scan and OCR results are returned locally to the note and are not sent to a schukai server. Google system components may manage models and technical diagnostics under Google's terms.
If the device provides optional local AI assistance and you choose to use it, the Android on-device component processes the text locally. Model delivery and technical operating data remain within the responsibility of the relevant Android or Google service.
5. Deliberate handoffs and exports
Calendar and email drafts are passed to the Android app you select only after a deliberate action. Further processing is governed by that provider's terms.
The app can export and restore a complete local ZIP backup including audio attachments. You choose through Android's file picker or share sheet where an export is stored or to whom it is sent. Exported files are outside private app storage and must be protected or deleted by you.
6. No accounts, advertising or analytics
raus currently contains no user account, advertising, usage tracking, advertising-ID processing, or developer analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Free text and tester feedback remain local in the current app.
7. Retention, security and deletion
Local content remains until you delete it in the app, wipe the complete local workspace through the danger zone, clear the app's Android data or uninstall the app. A complete wipe also removes local audio attachments and reminder data.
Manual backup exports and content passed to calendar, email, file or sharing apps are not removed automatically. They must be deleted separately at their respective storage location.
8. Rights, children and requests
Applicable data-protection rights may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
Because schukai operates no user account in the current app and receives no work content, we cannot associate or provide local content for a user. Privacy questions can be sent to hey@schukai.com.
raus is intended for working adults and is not directed specifically at children.
9. Changes
We update this policy before introducing new backend, synchronization, billing or other data-processing paths in raus. The effective date above identifies the current version.
