Local game and preferences
You do not need an account. The game saves progress in its private storage on your device: the room reached, completed tasks, room records and events and dialogue already triggered. Continuing restarts the last room you reached from its beginning; robot and object positions within a room are not stored as a checkpoint. The game also remembers whether you have seen the introduction and which language and graphics level you selected. The ordered list of Android device languages is read locally to choose a supported language when you have not saved a language choice. This list is not sent to schukai.
The app does not send this information to schukai and does not use a game server operated for this product. It contains no advertising, analytics or automatic crash-reporting services and does not require an internet connection for local play. Selecting a suitable graphics level from local device capabilities happens on your device; it does not send a device identifier to schukai.
The stored information remains on your device until you delete it through Android's app-storage settings or the operating system removes it. Deleting it also resets your saved game and preferences; the introduction may appear again. The game does not provide cloud synchronization. Operating-system backup or transfer features are separate from transmission by the game to schukai.
Purchase through Google Play
Google Play handles the purchase and delivery of the app. Google processes information under its own terms and privacy notices. The game itself contains no in-app purchases and does not ask for card, bank or other payment-instrument details. Local play does not report gameplay activity to schukai.
Google may make order and financial information available to us as the provider through Play Console, such as order numbers, purchase times, product details, amounts, currencies, taxes, fees, refunds, buyer country or region, postal code where provided, and the device model used. This is separate from transmission by the game. Where we process this information to handle purchases, refunds or purchase-related support, the basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; statutory bookkeeping and tax obligations are covered by Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. We retain such records only as long as these purposes or statutory retention obligations require.
Contacting us
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to provide. We use it to handle your request. The game does not automatically send such a message.
We process requests concerning the app or a contract under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other requests, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering them under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We retain correspondence for as long as necessary to handle the request or meet statutory retention obligations. Information about the support services we use is available in the general privacy notice.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies and its conditions are met, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent for the future. You may complain to a competent data protection supervisory authority.
For information held by schukai, contact hey@schukai.com. We have no remote access to preferences, saved games and session data held exclusively on your device; use Android's app-storage controls for that local information.
Websites and changes
If you open a website outside local play, that website's privacy notice applies. If a future app version changes data processing, its notices and store declarations must describe that behavior. This notice covers the local Android version of Nobody Needs a Body described above.
