Not every problem needs custom-built software. If an established standard solution covers the key workflow without awkward workarounds, it is usually more economical. Likewise, an app does not automatically make sense just because employees use a smartphone. Sometimes a web application that works on mobile, a better configured standard system or an organisational clarification is enough.
Projects are also difficult when there is neither an accessible business decision-maker nor real sample data and processes. Taking over existing software can also be irresponsible if source code, rights of use, access or a reproducible operating environment are missing. In such cases, schukai openly names the limit instead of giving a commitment that only appears safe. A good initial conversation can therefore also end with the conclusion that documents need to be obtained first, a different product chosen or the problem solved without new software.
