Answer
Local data must be transferred to a new device using the backup and restore options PickQueue provides. An encrypted backup file only protects you as long as the password or key remains available. Without a backup, a purely local list cannot be reconstructed from a central cloud if the device is lost – that is exactly the consequence of a local-first model.
For synchronised lists, pairing, subscription status and existing devices need to be taken into account. A cancelled subscription should not make local lists unusable; however, check the current range of features in the store and the terms. Prices and rules for families or households may change; the store shows current details. Before switching devices, you should test backup and restore.
