schukai Workspace can take on tasks that often sit in ERP, CRM, case management or document systems. That does not mean, however, that an existing ERP should automatically be replaced. In many companies the ERP remains the leading system for accounting, master data, stock or documents. Workspace then adds the working interface, responsibilities, exceptions or business workflows that can only be mapped awkwardly in the ERP.
A complete ERP replacement is a project in its own right, with data migration, permissions, interfaces, acceptance and operational planning. It is not promised in passing. The more sensible starting point is often a limited workflow: from the inbox to a resolved case, from the quote to the next step, or from the service appointment to the complete report. Only with such a real workflow can you see whether Workspace complements the ERP, gradually takes on more responsibility or is not the right solution for the area in question.
