That depends on the shop system, the version, existing customisations, access and the state of the project. First we check whether the source code and configuration are complete, which extensions are used and who is responsible for hosting, updates and third-party services. With badly outdated or proprietarily modified installations, developing directly on them can create more risk than a limited rework or a migration.
schukai does not have to take over the entire shop. It is also possible to develop just an interface, a customer portal, a product data pipeline or a special ordering step. The offer clearly defines the boundary of responsibility: who looks after the core system, theme, extensions, payment, infrastructure and business support? Only then can an error be dealt with in a targeted way later on.
